Summary
The Sustainable Singapore Blueprint (SSB) aims to set out a national framework and key strategies for Singapore’s sustainable development. Five years after it was released in 2009, the Ministry of National Development and Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources are reviewing the blueprint this year to ensure that the targets, strategies and plans continue to be relevant and important to Singapore’s future.
Detailed Description
Walking, together with cycling, is a form of green mobility and an important aspect of the Government’s on-going efforts in sustainable development. It is a cost-efficient, inclusive, and healthy mode of transport. Many cities are taking steps to be more walkable as walkability is believed to be a key feature of a good quality living environment.
We would like to find out how we can work towards ‘a More Walkable Singapore’ by hearing the current challenges you face when walking, your views on possible improvements to infrastructure (e.g. sheltered walkways, underground passages, park connectors) and ideas to promote walking and harmonious path-sharing.
