Resilience and mental well-being is an important part of a person’s health and overall development. In the 2018 Youth Conversation Poll, mental well-being was one of the top issues our youths are concerned about. Young Singaporeans have also stepped forward to identify and work on solutions to mental health challenges, for example as part of the SG Youth Action Plan, which was launched in May 2019.
We’ve got a range of measures in place – in schools, workplaces and the community. But if we come together, put our heads together, and work together - we can do so much more.
If you are passionate about making a difference and driving change in the area of youth mental well-being, please connect with us!
We’d like to hear from you.
1. Are there any restrictions (e.g. age) to sign up?
All are welcome to contribute.
2. Do I need any prior experience in the area of mental health to sign up?
Prior experience is not necessary. Please drop us a line if you have an interest in supporting youth mental well-being. Let us know too if you are currently volunteering and involved in this area of work.
3. What are the different areas that I can be involved in?
Please write in to us. We look forward to hearing your views, suggestions and ideas on how we can work together to better promote youth mental well-being.
4. What happens after I have indicated my interest?
We will go through each response and will reach out to everyone who has written in to us.
5. When will I get a response to let me know what’s next?
We appreciate every person’s interest and will get in touch with all who have signed up with us. We will go through, study and consider the various ideas and suggestions. We will reach out to some of you to take some of these ideas forward and see how we can work together, or how we can connect you to organisations and partners where you can contribute. We seek your patience and understanding as you await a reply from us.
6. If I would like to keep my information private, can I sign-up anonymously?
You can provide your views anonymously. However, if you would like to be contacted by us, we would require your contact details to follow-up with you.
7. Can a person sign up on behalf of his/her friends or family members?
We encourage all to sign up personally as we would like to hear directly from individuals as to why they are interested in youth mental well-being and how they would like to contribute.
