Space Dedicated to Creating Start-up Ecosystem

Contributor  Lok Jen shared that Beijing has a one-stop center for aspiring entrepreneurs which allows them to share office space and resources. He wondered if a similar set up can be done in Singapore. SPRING Singapore replies that the JTC LaunchPad@one-north is one such set up. Please read the detailed reply below.

Dear Lok Jen
The JTC LaunchPad@one-north is a space dedicated to creating a vibrant start-up ecosystem in Singapore. Located along Ayer Rajah Crescent, the development provides a range of facilities such as co-working spaces, incubation and start-up space that support the various stages of entrepreneurship. Presently, the LaunchPad community includes entrepreneurs, product developers, venture capitalists, and incubators from a wide variety of sectors.

Start-ups located at the LaunchPad can tap on a comprehensive network and support system helmed by the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE). ACE provides co-working spaces and fixed desk space for young start-ups at the LaunchPad. ACE also supports promising entrepreneurs through resources, networks and mentorship. In the past year, ACE has partnered with several industry players to provide affordable printing services, professional accounting services, broadband internet connectivity and to give start-ups at the LaunchPad a leg up in their growth journey.

To find out more about the JTC LaunchPad@one-north, please contact JTC at launchpad@jtc.gov.sg or visit http://www.jtc.gov.sg/industrial-land-and-space/pages/jtc-launchpad-one-north.aspx.
