Proposed Amendments to the Women's Charter - CPF Contribution

For some reason, the Proposed Amendments to the Women's Charter continues to neglect one fundamental safety net concerning CPF contribution for home makers. As we all know, bread winners' CPF contributions come from their salary and from their employers. However, their spouses get nothing if they are home makers. Currently this is a great disadvantage to them. In a breakup, they may be accorded half the matrimonial home and maintenance if there are children. They do not have enough bargaining power. I trust the rest of the other reasons need not be elaborated nut we should better protect our home makers especially the women who spend their time looking after the kids and home and usually without any sort of monthly income even to save for a rainy day.
