Conversations on Digital Readiness

COVID-19 has irrevocably changed our lives. The ways in which we live, work, play and interact with people have been transformed, reinforcing the imperative for us all to go digital.

However, it is understandable that some may find it challenging to go digital. We may be concerned that going digital might mean exposure to online risks and harms. Others may be concerned that the vulnerable groups will be left behind in this digitalisation journey. But, we need not journey alone. Together with the support of everyone from government to industry partners, and also volunteers, friends and family members, we will hold each other’s hands and forge a thriving digital way of life, together. Everyone will be digitally included, including seniors, persons with disabilities, and low-income families.

Join us in this national movement to go digital!

Here’s how.

On 6 November 2020, MCI and IMDA organised an “Emerging Stronger Conversation on Digital Readiness”, hosted by Senior Minister of State Ms Sim Ann. She was joined by 60 other participants from SG:D Friends, Media Literacy Council, Our Singapore Fund-Digital Readiness and Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassadors, who were passionate about sharing about their suggestions and feedback on making Singapore more digitally ready and inclusive as we emerge from COVID-19.

To build a digitally ready and inclusive society, we need the community and industry leaders like yourselves to join hands with us, to forge a digital future where all citizens can participate meaningfully.
