With the state media going into a propaganda overdrive to hardsell the PAP’s immigration policy to Singaporeans in the last two weeks, few dare to ‘sing a different tune’ to contradict the party’s directive except one brave soul.

MediaCorp artiste Tay Ping Hui may be wearing the white uniform of the PAP, but he often broke ranks with the party and does not mince his words when criticizing its policies.

In his latest tweet, Ping Hui wrote:

“Unabated, imported population growth is akin to using steroids.Great muscle gains, but d internal system overloads & damage is irreversible.”

He also appeared to take a swipe at a particular unnamed influential PAP leader:

“When nobody’s interested anymore, stop talking. Better 2 exit gracefully with dignity than to regress into mere noise by trying even harder.”

Ping Hui has just been awarded the ‘Best Actor’ for his performance in the drama ‘Bountiful Blessings’ at the recent Star Awards.

Mr Tay PH has hit the nail on the wall.

Only brave man with brains like him will outshine the "cowards in white". The bus is already in the ditch and the effort has been futile for the past 1 year. At this moment, PAP is definitely at the loosing end as they can no longer buy back or reverse time.

The regular visitors here would know that even though we came from different backgrounds and made our voices heard basically as party-neutral persons, our collective conscious unanimously point us towards deliberating the same calibrated socioeconomic changes we believe are good for the country. Be it at round tables for the experts or online forums / think tanks where the grassroots can tap in and escalate their interest, we have all been echoing about the same fundamental ideas, methodologies and wish for transparent progress. Yet what affirmative actions the government had done for us in that respect?

Pretend to read and pay lip service or not register the critical points at all? If you didn't have sincerity in future co-creation don't come waste my time with your empty slogans. Doing things for the sake of your own political look-good lowers you to the level of a conman. Gridlock against the true intellectuals of this community / planet and you will do your time at the end of days.

Chances have been given. Blame no one and accept your peaceful hand-over when the time comes.

He is correct.

But the PAP will never listen to him or for that matter anyone who speaks out against their FT policy. FTs are the heart and soul of the PAP, so surely you cannot expect them to give it up!

I can only concur that the interest reciprocated from the ground has regressed from flogging the dead horse in hope that it will resurrect to flogging it just to vent and propagate the news that it's truly dead.

Right! We have to accept that the horse is long dead and its carcass is of no use to us whatsoever. Tiime to reinvent ourselves to forge a better tomorrow.

Let me put this bluntly.

Bionic growth will automatically breed bionic problems! But did the *****ed  PAP Ministers even try to solve the problem when it erupted? Why does it take them 5 or 10 years to acknowledge and work on it??

Such steroids are indeed harmful to health. Unless, the body can team-up to work together.
