I have been reading various posts and forums the past one year. It seems that the Ruling Party is loosing more votes from their own citizens-

1. Too many unsolved PRCs issues
a) inability to socially integration
b) scholoarships given to talents with bad behaviour

2. Unwanted New Jobs for Citizens
The are more jobs but the unwanted or left-over jobs are distributed to citizens who are well-qualified but jobless

3. No control over the quanity of Employment Pass
Till date, there are no reports if EP issuance has reduced by 5% not due to the global economy!

4. Arts & Culture
Lack of songs, drawings, architecture . . . depicting the livelihood of locals in the year 2000

5. MRT Breakdowns/ Bus Accidents
If the good calibre China Chinese are no longer attracted to work here, I suppose more problems will arise in the future.

6. SPRs given too much priviledge
Without serving NS or reservist but yet enjoy subsidised hospital bills

The ruling party is not only festering. It is diminishing in all aspects.

Ability to work as a team, inabilty to work with the people, inability to communicate with the people and worse of all impossible to represent the people's interest and hopes.

How sad !

I just have one question to ask to residents of Pioneer SMC:

Do you really want Steve Chia over someone who can't break into cabinet, into Parliament?

I think we'd rather have clowns over mediocre people in Parliament. Is this what we want?

In that case the choice left for the residents is to appeal to amalgamate Pioneer SMC into an adjacent GRC, to get over with choosing between the lesser of two evils.

Pioneer SMC had just detached from West Coast GRC for 2011 General Election for obvious purpose, now you want to attach it back.

Whatever happen from now up to GE2016, whether or not all hot issues have been resolved or at least been acted on, would say at most just another few % loss of votes, that's all.
Lots would jump & scream & shout & criticize & curse but not many will really act....right?
