While we are driving on the road opposite Chinatown MRT, we happen to see a LTA Enforcement Officer hidding under the bridge to take pictures of those car.  This is not the first time we encounter. Sometimes we can spot some hidding behind the bushes in order to capture those car.  May I please seek LTA be more steady. If you really want to summon drivers, please do Openly instead of letting the drivers "kana" the ticket without knowing that you are really summoning them. I really pity those delivery man.  Just stopped their car to do their loading and unloading then kana summon.  LTA, please be more steady and passionate those delivery man who are striving hard to make a living!

I think LTA is doing a good job on this! As long as there is good evidence, errant drivers shall be responsible for your own action.

Drivers should behave even when others are not looking. When you are loading/unloading at non-designated location, you convenience yourself by inconveniencing others. At times, you even risk the safety of other, putting others life at risk!

Good job LTA!

actually i disagree. i wish lta would employ more manpower to deal with errant parking and dangerous driving.

for example, just look at worship times around churches, temples and mosques. loads of people attending services park illegally (case of being good only in places of worship but like to flout the law outside of it)... they cause mini jams outside. there is never an LTA officer to be found. if you call LTA to come, they will ask you if the cars are blocking your car from exiting your house. otherwise, just wait for jam to pass.

since when have we been so lenient to law breakers?

exactly... just because the law does not read , thou shalt not park thy horsecart illegally... does not mean you can do it

There are many christian car park enforcement officers in LTA, they also need to attend church service.  That is the reason why you cannot see any LTA officer on Sunday.

Due to the lack of manpower (as always) the authority has no choice but to adopt a "Selective Hide-Poach-Catch" tecnhique specifically designed to ensure errant drivers will be caught off guard...probably will consider engaging more foreign poachers to curb the manpower shortage problem...

Is a CAT and Mouse situation. If the enforcement officer is in full view, the driver would not show his mousy behavious. This is the reality of life on the road and LTA is being realistic about it - to make sure the motorists conform to traffic rules.
