See, you striaght away see what is the priority fo Ah Loong and NEWBlood.
Spending billions to buy "face" for Singpaore to make hsi 3rd Generation Leadership looks good.....as well as spending billions on "arts and cultures" to woo Gen-X, Gen-Y and Gen-Z to support them.

And of course, spending billions to transform SIngapore into a cosmopolitan city to attract the talented, teh Rich, teh Famous..and ahem.."pink dollars" to bring in billions to invest in SIngapore.

Certainly, Khaw Boon Wan maybe making a fruedian slip of the tongue when he remincsed in PArliament on "..there are cheep cheep nurisng homes in Johor.." something liek that.

Meaning:
"Oooi! you useless, unproductive and resources-consuming ageing baby-boomers! SHut-up lah and go and die quietly lah! Move asie, move aside.....make way for Gen-Y and Gen-Z...you are no longer needed..be obedience like Boxer and go away quietly will you all?

See, I am wasting S$100-million till 2016 so you misery lots can die quietly okay?

SO, you see..Ah Loong and NEWBlood can spend S$630-million 2007 to 2014 to bring SIngapore F1 to SIngapore; but cannot spend S$450-million in the next 5 years to build a "One-Stop Eldercare Centre" in Serangoon Centre.

I will call this the S$450-million Serangoon Continuous Care Residence Centre (SCCRC) as there are plenty fo room between Braddell Hieghts CC and NEX to build it...adn it si self-paying and not necessary for PAP Governemnt to spend a cents on it..just donate the land and stop that greedy SLA from making more money from lands owned by all SIngaporeans.

1 - Build SA for HDB heartalnders
2 - Build "Executive" SA for all other 65 year old and above SIngpaoreans who do not qualify for SA and - 3 - sell them at a price of S$500 to S$750 per sq. ft.
4 - Build a mixture of DBSS 5-room, EC, 3-room and 4-room and BTO 5-room and sell 'em at a premeir to pay off the cosntruction costs.
5 - A mixed development with podium for shops, clinics, childcare centres, clincis, etc tod efray operating costs.
6 - A geriatric polyclinic
7 - A nursing home
8 - A hospice
9 - A community hospital integrated into development
10- A foreign worker dormitory for all those healthcare wrokers and other workers working there.

WHere is the money?

Well, IRAS ahd collected S$1.1-billion from casino gmaing revenues
Adna slo, about S$7-billion from GST.

WHy can't Ah Loong and NEWBlood cough-up S$450-million to build this proper Serangoon Continuous Care Residence Centre for ALL SINGAPOREANS?

After all, S$3.9-million isn't enough even to pay SIngapore President one year salary, fringe benefits and bonuses isn't it?

Say, if AH Loong and NEWBlood Team all donate one year of their salaries and bonsues, guess how amny S$3.9-million "One Stop Eldercare Centres" cna be build all over SIngpaore by end-2013?
