Thousands of patients in community  hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and daycare centres can now enjoy lower medical bills as higher subsidies come into effect on 1 July. The changes are part of the Healthcare 2020 announced by Health Minister Gan Kim Yong earlier this year. The subsidies aim to help Singaporeans cope with rising medical costs.

The changes are part of the Healthcare 2020 announced by Health Minister Gan Kim Yong earlier this year. The subsidies aim to help Singaporeans cope with rising medical costs.

For patients with a per capita family income of up to $2,200, they will also enjoy subsidies ranging from 20 to 75 per cent at residential step-down facilities such as nursing homes and hospices. In order to encourage more people to be treated at home, the subsidies for home and community-based services for families with per capita income of up to $2,200, will also be increased to between 30 and 80 per cent, up from the previous 25 to 75 per cent.

Whole family earn up to $2200 . Meaning your whole family must earn LESS than $2200 to get 20 to 75%.

As you see majority all didn't benefit from this LOUSY, FAKE, PAP standard.

Who family earn less than $2200 per month ? One husband $1200 and one wife $1000 per month already say you earn too much. Cannot  subsidies liao. Even taxi-driver,

Only NTUC cashier, Toliet cleaner all can get loh.

TAX THE POOR, FEED THE RICH LOH.

Don't talk better lah. OK !

Electricity bills nowdays is $200++ above one. Rubbish fee how must ? Transportation ? Bus fare to work about $300 liao.

It's telling the WIFE. Don't work lah. Be beggers at home. Wait for PAP to help you.

Then PAP got all the "excuse say you LAZY LOH ! ". Only husband WORK.

The only way is to control the charges imposed by Private Nursing Homes.  This way it will helps all elderly sick parents and their family.  As majority of Singapore earns more than $2,200 and live in a 4-5 room HDB flats.  Under this condition, no subsidies are allowed for their parents and they have no choice but to put them in Private Nursing Homes for long term care.
