Hi, I have made a suggestion that was published in the Straits Times.

Hope this is useful.

Real wage increase for the majority? No way. Not in this tiny red dot with no natural resources but ample supplies of excuses ready for our PAP  elite govt to justify cost increases wherever they deem fit : HDB prices, COE prices, water conservancy taxes, rubbish collection taxes, electricity charges, etc, etc.

Only with real wage decreases, can the elite amass wealth at astronomically level. Without sacrificing the majority, the minority elites would only join the mediocre class sooner.  An elite class would never and can never even for a moment of heart- felt pity be able to make the majority commoners richer without sacrificing their greed for wealth.

'Power of we'

What Chen Show Mao wants, more than anything, is to be a catalyst to get Singaporeans more engaged in their citizenship and to play their part in fixing what is wrong with society, he tells Susan Long.

In the past 10 years, gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 83.3 per cent, whereas median household income grew only 21.9 per cent in real terms. The bulk of growth went to corporate profits and the income of high earners. About 42 per cent of Singapore's GDP goes to wages here, which is one of the lowest such shares in the world. The rest goes to corporate profits, interest and dividends.
