This is extremely traumatic. i have lodged a police report.

Grinding Coffee Beans
At 915pm I brought my beans to grind at your *** outlet. I know this service is provided free of charge and all customers can DIY.

I finish grinding my beans and put them into my own plastic bag and was walking out of *** when this *** security personnel *** barge into me and grab my arm and shove me to a corner.

Violence shown by ***
He grab my plastic bag and ask me what am I holding. I was stunned for a moment as I did not steal anything but enjoying a free service given by ***.

False Accusation and Intimidation

I told him these are my beans and I merely using the grinding machine. Instead of apologizing for wrongfully detaining me, he ask me to produce a receipt that my beans were bought from *** as he alleged that I have committed a crime against *** - Only beans from *** can be grinded there or else the police will arrest me ! This threats came again and again during the whole episode!

Even of the beans were not from ***, me and family have spent on many items weekly and were a faithful patron of *** at ***. I can give u the many receipts for proof! Surely using the grinding machine is not a criminal offence!

Excessive use of force
Then he use excessive force to shove me from the exit of *** all the way to the security department which is a full 25-30m away. This cause me to nearly fall over and I was extremely embarrassed by his actions in full view of everyone at ***.

I shouted at him to stop and I demand to see the manager. He refused and instead ask a *** colleague to come and shove me together to security office near your *** storage area.

By the time I reach the security, I was extremely traumatized, angered that such force was used by *** was used for a trivial thing like grinding coffee beans.

Poor Handling of Situation by deputy manager *** and Lady manager in office

The deputy manger on duty is *** (he appeared to be a ***). There was another lady manager inside the office who did not want to be involved.

Apparently she shut the door when the intense conversation were held outside her office. This is totally irresponsible if she is indeed a higher authority with better experience!

*** ask me to wait while he and his colleagues reviewed the cctv footage. After like 5min, they found no wrong doing.
*** then explained that these security personnel came from HQ and were not familiarize with *** at ***.

He said it is alright for me to use the grinding machine but just have to inform the staff so I can be 'protected'. This obviously contradicts what *** said previously that only beans bought there can be grinded or else it is police action.

This shows the security personnel were not trained in the process of *** and wrongfully detaining me.

I replied *** that if customers need to tell the staff to be 'protected' then it has to be written at the grinding machine clearly. This is not so.

Rude, Apparent Vulgarities and non apology from ***

I told *** that *** should apologise for using such excessive force on me and for wrongfully detaining me.

*** went to *** to talk.

Then *** walked in and instead of apologizing, he started to spew what seemed like vulgarities that I am 'talking through my ***' and told *** that he sees nothing wrong what he did and refuse to apologise.

Through it all *** did not enforce a proper apology from ***. This show he lacks the authority to enforce discipline on errant employee.

Also ***, your security personnel, may not have the right personality and attitude in security management nor was he aware of process *** at all.

Most of all he is very rude and uses excessive violence and refuse to acknowledge his over sight when shown CCTV evidence.

Is this the image of *** as family oriented retail? I have went countless time with my wife and son to shop at *** but this episode has left me scarred and will not return ever again.

I will also shared this incident to all my friends, colleagues especially over the social media like facebook, twitter and forums about the rought treatment *** dishes out at patrons without verifying the truth.

I advise *** to take strong action towards *** and issue an apology to me for the physical hurt and embarrassment and trauma I suffered for no reason at all.

A typical cheapskate tale.

The grinder is free for customers buying beans in *** not for the general public .

*** is a private corporation.

A school is an education institution with a private compound

and a school's washroom is available to staff and students free---

Should a homeless guy use the facilities?

Does he feel cheap to defy the security man because of race?

This Stinky Brainy Black Heart says,

it is wrong until very good to laugh to compare *** and a private school.  Next time find a better analogy.

Should compare *** with establishments like NTUC, Petrol Stations, coffeeshops, kopitiam  etc.

***'s beans Grinding machine is same as the Toilet in Petrol Stations, Coffeeshops.  Any Tom, D.i.c-k and Ha.rr-y can use the Toilet without buying any item.

If *** really wants the Grinding Machine to only grind beans from their store,  It is their duty to get someone to guard the machine and not after people grind already come and make noises.

Just like what some petrol stations are doing, they lock their toilet and only when customer make  equest, then they hand over the Toilet key.

If *** is so petty, they should lock their Grinding Machine or get a staff to guard, like some Petrol stations locking their toilets.  If the Petrol station's toilet is not locked, the general public can use.  Understand?

*** should apologise.

It depends whether there is a NOTICE at the grinding machine that only coffee beans bought at the outlet can use the machine! Even if there are no NOTICES, the person who had brought his own coffee beans should at least ask for permission to use the grinding machine.

Some  fast food outlets provide customers free top up of their coffee and tea, it does not means that anyone can just walk in with his own cup, pour a cup of coffee or tea and walkout!

Petrol stations are different, motorist are welcome to use their machine to pump air into car tyres or use the toilets.

Woody does have something make sense.

This Stinky Brainy Black Heart tell you all 1 people 2 people,

one has to differentiate "free top up" from the "use of Grinding Machine".

1) Free top up, one has acquired something.e.g. coffee or tea.  this is amounting to steal if one is not the buyer of coffee or tea from the store.

2) The use of Grinding machine.  the store is not losing any PHYSICAL product.  It only incurs a little of electricity and the insignificant wear and tear of the machine.

comparing the above 2, does 1 still think that they are the same?

One is the entitlement of the buyer which is part of the price.  The other is a service the store provides free to the customer.  So long as one is the CUSTOMER, he/she has the implied rights to use the machine, unless otherwise specifically expressed that it is EXCLUSIVELY for the BEANS from the store.

If the one using the Grinding machine did buy something from the store, whether it is a packet of tissue or a Big TV set, he/she is still considered as a CUSTOMER. So long as the Grinding Machine is meant for store's CUSTOMER. A customer should be able to use it.

A man (without purchases at this place ) entered a private establishment and without asking for prrmission silently use a machine meant for store bought coffee beans customers.

When confronted with ground beans, he was asked by security officer to produce a receipt which he did not have.

He then proceeded to confront and argue with the officer.

Further, he posted the matter on scoial media deframing a major anchor chain store and his staff.

If he does not apologize early, he might be receiving a note soon from *** lawyers.

How could he prove the beans he had was from his pantry and not stolen from ***?

Hooray-shall we see fireworks on 4th Jan?

Did this non-customer deserve a fine or jail or volunteering community service for his impulsive actions?

Still, he is a misbehaved role model for his family.

This Stinky Brainy Black Heart says,

this case is minor and doesnt warrant any police intervention or civil action.  what the writer can do is to write to the CEO to complain and at the same time, spread it on the internet.

The store manager is just a small fry in the organisation.

Another way is to lodge a Magistrate complaint and bring this issue into the subcourt.( but don't expect much out of this as this is viewed as a trival issue and the Magistrate not likely to take stern action).

By doing this, the store would be asked to the subcourt and the record remains no matter how the issue is resolved or not).  This is bad enough for an established shop.

(Dont say I say one)

to write to the CEO to complain

then make sure the *** does not retaliate by suing you for unlawful use of machine- remeber they have powerful panel of lawyers waiting for fishes to bait!

Stinky Brainy Black Heart -just leave your full name and account number

to foot the bill when he gets a lawsuit- for your helpful suggestion!

- and if he left a mess on the tiles, oh boy-he will be the sensational bait on the internet on the new year barely only 3 days old

This Stinky Brain Black Heart says,

why you so scare die?

The customer has done nothing wrong and there is nothing the Store can do to this particular customer.

Offending and suing customer is the LAST THING any businesses, especially retail business would do.

The idea of engaging lawyer would pi.ss off customers and potential customers.

This simple thing also no know.  This is a good proof that  This Stinky Brainy Black Heart is indeed BRAINY.
