Yesterday, around 35 community policing officers in Tampines and Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centres were issued with tablet computers to augment their engagement with the community during their foot and bicycle patrols.

The tablets come pre-loaded with crime prevention materials such as videos, posters and advisories in different languages, such that officers can share them with the public when they are on patrol.

Furthermore, the tablets allow officers to update and share the information recorded from their patrols automatically, which reduces the time spent on such tasks. Previously, this was done manually at the end of each shift.

What are some of the functions that should be included within these tablet computers? Share your ideas with us!
